“我们一个像夏天，一个像秋天，却总能把冬天变成了春天……”

在ASJ小学部，有这样一对双生花，她们一个热情果敢，像极了夏天；一个温婉文静，像极了秋天，两人拥有的积极向上，善良，认真的优秀品格打动着身边每一个人。看似性格截然不同的她们，在ASJ这个友善的社区环境下，成为了无话不说的闺蜜。文静的她、热情的她，都在ASJ找到了表达自我的方式，不受拘束地快乐成长。来看看小学部的两位大师姐的故事。     

无论是谁接触吴昕叡，都会被她的热情爽朗感染。不遮不掩，真诚大方，当你打开了一个话题匣子，她总能眨巴着大眼睛，滔滔不绝地、用清脆的声音保持住你对她的注意力。深入了解后，你才明白，她热烈的分享欲望，侧面展现的是她强大的表达能力和自信心。

昕叡从小就热爱表达自己。拿起话筒，站上舞台，对于其他人而言可能是一个极其需要克服心理障碍的动作，但她把这个事儿当成一个新鲜的体验，“站上舞台，发出我自己的声音，和欣赏我的人交朋友”，这就是这件事儿的全部意义。灵动的声音加上“舍我其谁”的气场，她开始了多年的主持人训练；她拿下了全国青少儿播音主持专业五级证书；她也凭借着强大的表达能力和优秀的现场发挥，当上了ASJ小学部首届学生会主席，成为了同学们心中能量满满的“小太阳”。

“小太阳”有没有感到疲惫过？昕叡分享了快速恢复状态、保持旺盛精力的秘诀。她热爱探索和体验不同国家和地域的风土人情，通过阅读世界这本大书，拓宽个人的视野和格局；热爱制作、品尝美食，适时放松，为迎接下一阶段的自己充足能量。昕叡有着良好的语言输出，而这依赖于长期、稳定的输入。她充分利用ASJ的自主支配时间段，制定了每天一小时阅读计划，翱翔在ASJ创造的一万多册书籍的海洋。

“最重要的，是多尝试，在ASJ，无论是学业，还是课外活动，都是展现自我的舞台。我被要求主动思考、独立地完成各项学科任务；也在小组合作中发光发热，保持了组内良好的学习氛围”。她抓住每一个机会锻炼自己的表达能力，也在用自身行动影响身边人，传递着“勇敢地表达自我，勇敢地展现自我”这一信息。

有别于日常的开朗形象，穿起芭蕾舞裙、翩翩起舞的她沉默无言，但仔细一看、仔细一听，其实她在用舞蹈这“第二语言”来表达自我。“芭蕾舞需要专注力和毅力”，当她把所有的注意力专注在脚尖、手指，纵使无声，也有着巨大能量。

我们对于她有想成为律师的愿望，一点都不觉得意外。热烈的她天生注定要和语言打交道的。“我非常佩服罗欢平律师，把原本枯燥的法律知识融入到我们的生活之中，通过他的专业知识帮助了很多人，也解决了很多问题。所以我希望长大以后也能成为一名优秀的律师，可以利用自己的专业知识，维护社会的公平和正义。”

是夏天凉爽的清风，还是秋日里的暖阳？王姝岚属于后者。她温和的外表下，有着沉稳的气韵。她不是主动挑起话题的那一位，比起用“语言”表达，她更倾向于用“行动”表达。年纪小小的她，是妥妥的“别人家的孩子”。追求学术卓越的同时，她还兼顾了所有的课外活动和兴趣爱好，如钢琴、高尔夫球、网球、绘画、游泳，手握的书法大赛奖项、国标舞证和奖学金便是她作为“行动派”最好的印证。

温婉、文静的她迷恋的却是和理性、逻辑思考相关的科目。她最喜欢的学科是数学，在ASJ的数独ECA课程里，她是表现最积极的那一个。“24点”这个增益活动，她在小学部可谓称得上无人能敌。“动脑思考使让我充满热情、不知疲惫”。凭借着在数学的过硬知识，她获得2021年AMC澳大利亚数学竞赛三等奖。

“我是一个快乐的探究者。” 她热爱探究，而ASJ的自由而有趣的课程，为她重新定义了“探究”。教育可以发生在课室内，也可以在户外；不是只有动笔做笔记，动动身体，参加实践课，知识才能被吸收；傍晚的时候观察日落，阴天的时候观察路边植物借力生长，这些习以为常的场景其实也包含着广义的、积极的知识。这些巧妙设计的课堂无形中锻炼着她的自学能力和自主管理能力。“我有明确的学习目标和严谨的学习态度”，而这个优秀的习惯延续到了姝岚的各个方面，在课内学习、课外活动全面开花。

其实看起来秀气的她，也会自嘲“内敛”，也会发表观点“人是不应该被几个关键词给局限的”。于是她开始释放自己积极、大胆的一面。保持着每周一节街舞课的上课频率的她，在街舞的律动节奏中找到了释放自己的方式，享受着舞动的自由；她开始在朋友、老师的影响下，站上舞台大胆演讲，或者在戏剧课上突破自己，表演和自己性格完全不同的一面。

“大家都有着不同的性格特点，而我的特点是慢热。但我热爱自己的性格，让我遇事冷静，思维清晰，沉着应对。”六年级的姝岚，已经对自己的人生有了更深入的理解。这样的她，在前行的道路上不会左顾右盼，更不会惊慌失措。为这样“独立而清醒”的她而鼓掌。

"One of us is like summer and the other is like autumn, but we always turn winter into spring ......"

In the Primary School of ASJ, there is a pair of twins, one of which is enthusiastic and bold like summer, and the other is gentle and quiet like autumn. Both of them have a positive, kind and conscientious character which impress everyone around them. They have become friends at ASJ, though they seem to have very different personalities. The quiet one and the enthusiastic one have both found a way to express themselves and grow up happily without restraint at ASJ. Let's take a look at the stories of the two older sisters in the Primary Section.

Whoever comes into contact with Wu Xinrui will be impressed by her enthusiasm and cheerfulness. She is sincere and generous. When you talk with her, your attention will be drawn by her cheerful voice, with her big eyes blinking. After you know more about her, you will realize that her desire for sharing unveils her strong expression ability and self-confidence.

She has loved expressing herself since she was a child. It is not easy for a child to stand and perform on the stage. However, Wu Xinrui regarded it as a new experience. She wants to stand on the stage to make her voice and make friends with people who appreciate her. Therefore, she has taken on host training for many years. Besides, she won the National Youth Broadcast and Hosting Professional Level 5 Certificate. Furthermore, she also became the first president of ASJ’s Student Union of Primary School, which makes her become a role model for her classmates.

Wu Xinrui also shared the secret to keep energetic. She is fond of exploring and experiencing different customs from different countries and regions. Besides, Xinrui also enjoys reading which broadens her horizon. What’s more, she loves to make and taste food to relax herself. Furthermore, she is proficiency in language output, which depends on her long-term and stable input. She took full advantage of ASJ’s time at its disposal to develop a one-hour daily reading plan that soared through the ocean of 17,000 books created by ASJ.

"The most important thing is to try more. At ASJ, both academic and extra-curricular activities are the stage for students to express themselves. I am asked to think on my own initiative and work independently on various subject tasks; I also shine in group work and maintain a good learning atmosphere within the group". Ruixin seizes every opportunity to develop her expression skills and influences others around her with her actions, conveying the message of “express yourself and be brave".

Unlike her daily cheerful persona, although she is silent when dancing, she also uses dance as a second language to express herself. “Ballet requires concentration and perseverance”, and when she focuses all her attention on her toes and fingers, even if she is silent, she has great energy.

We are not surprised that she has the desire to become a lawyer. Passionate as her, she was born to soar in the sea of language. “I really admire lawyer Luo Huanping, who incorporates boring legal knowledge into our lives, helping many people and solving many problems with his expertise. I hope that when I grow up I can also become a good lawyer and can use my professional knowledge to help people solve problems and uphold fairness and justice in society."

Is it the cool breeze of summer or the warm sun in autumn? Wang Shulan belongs to the latter one. Underneath her gentle appearance, she has a calm and steady demeanour. She is not the one who likes to start a conversation, and she prefers to express herself in action rather than in words. At her young age, she is a properly oustanding kid. While pursuing academic excellence, she also balances all her extra-curricular activities and hobbies, such as piano, golf, tennis, painting and swimming, and her awards in calligraphy competitions, international standard dance certificates and scholarships are the best proof that she is a "doer".

She is a gentle, quiet person who is fascinated by subjects related to rational and logical thinking. Her favourite subject is mathematics and she is one of the most active performers in the Sudoku ECA course at ASJ. What's more, she was unbeatable in the primary section for the "24 points" enrichment activity. "Thinking with my brain makes me enthusiastic and tireless". With her in-depth knowledge of mathematics, she won the third prize in the 2021 AMC Australian Mathematics Competition.

"I am a enquirer." She loves inquiry, and ASJ's free and fun curriculum has redefined it for her. Education can happen inside the classroom, in the playground and outdoors. It's not just about taking notes with a pen, it's about moving your body and participating in hands-on lessons to absorb knowledge; observing sunsets in the evening and roadside plants growing  on a cloudy day. All of these are commonplace scenarios that actually contain broad, positive knowledge. These cleverly designed classes invariably hone her self-learning and self-management skills. "I have clear learning goals and a rigorous attitude towards learning", and this excellent habit continues in all aspects of Shulan's life, blossoming in all aspects of learning in class and extra-curricular activities.

In fact, she looks like a pretty girl, but she also laughs at herself for being "introverted" and expresses the view that "people should not be limited by a few keywords". So she started to unleash her positiveness and boldness. She found a way to release herself in the rhythm of the street dance and enjoyed the freedom of dancing. She began to be influenced by her friends and teachers to speak bravely on stage or to break through in drama classes and perform a completely different side of her personality.

"We all have different character traits, and mine is a slow type. But I love my personality, which makes me calm, think clearly and react calmly when things go wrong." In Year 6, Shulan has an deeper understanding and attitude towards her life. Such a person does not hesitate to do anything in her life. I appreciate her for being so "independent and sober".
