致深圳，东莞，珠海学生家长的一封感谢信

亲爱的深圳，东莞，珠海学生家长们：

由于秋冬季利于病毒传播、同时叠加源自南非的奥密克戎(Omicron)新变异株影响，2021年下旬开始,全球疫情有所反弹；国内也不例外,全国疫情出现散发式反弹。而这一个月，东莞、深圳疫情严峻的信息不断传来，令人揪心。深圳市教育局甚至发布紧急通知，要求全市高校实行严格的全封闭管理，对我们的工作、学习和生活产生了不同程度的影响。为了营造安全无忧的校园环境，暨大港澳认真做好各项防疫工作，并于上周对深圳、东莞、珠海等地的学生做出不可返回居住地的要求。

As autumn and winter are conducive to the spread of the virus, while superimposing the influence of a new variant of Omicron from South Africa, the global pandemic has rebounded since late 2021, and the domestic pandemic has rebounded sporadically.

This month, the pandemic in Dongguan and Shenzhen was worrying. Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Education issued an emergency notice requiring colleges and universities in Shenzhen to implement strict management to delay the new semesters. Absolutely, the pandemic has impacted on our work, study and life to varying degrees.

In order to create a safe campus environment, ASJ took the pandemic prevention seriously, and made a requirement that students in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhuhai could not return to their places of residence last week.

疫情凶险，此时此刻，一线防疫的医护和检测人员都在日夜坚守，为我们的安全筑起一道道防控堤坝。令人欣慰的是，每位同学都不负一线人员的付出，积极配合学校安排，克制住渴望归家与家人团聚的心情，做好自我防护，为国家、为社会防疫工作做出的最好的贡献。他们是当之无愧的抗“疫”战士。我校为拥有这群可爱的同学们而骄傲，也想在此感谢家长们的体谅与支持。

The pandemic is dangerous, and at this moment, healthcare workers on the coronavirus frontline were working day and night, playing critical roles in providing many life-saving interventions. It was gratifying that every student lived up to the efforts of the frontline healthcare workers. They actively cooperated with the school arrangements and gave up returning home for family reunions. They did an excellent job of self-protection, and made the best contribution to the country and society for the pandemic prevention work. Therefore, they are well-deserved to be called “warriors” against the pandemic. ASJ is proud to have this group of lovely students. Moreover, we would like to thank parents for their understanding and support.

上周末，校园里多了不少留校生活跃的身影。各位校长、老师与留校生度过了丰富美好的周末时光，真正做到了有的放矢：同学上自习、上网查阅资料、自由阅读等安排，高效地汲取知识、充实自己；郑校长和封校长利用自己周末休息时间与留校生分享学习及工作经验并与学生互动；邓家王体育老师兼篮球队训练员不辞辛苦，回到学校为学生制定系统的训练方案，与同学们一同参与体锻。

Last weekend, principals, teachers and students who stayed at school spent a wonderful weekend, and achieved the following goals: students made use of self-study arrangements at school, surfed the Internet, did reading and so on to efficiently acquire knowledge and enrich themselves; Our Chief Principal Mr. Cheng and the Executive Principal Ms. Feng shared their study and work experience with students and interacted with students for a weekend break; Mr. Deng Jiawang, the PE teacher and coach of basketball team took great pains to formulate systematic training programmes for the students. He also participated in physical exercises with the students.

以上一切活动都在学校完善的服务与管理下有序进行，营造了舒适愉悦的周末氛围：生活老师统一保管了留校生的手机，学生手机仅限在老师监管下在指定时间内使用；食堂正常开放，提供优质可口饭菜；而保卫实行24小时不间断巡逻，确保校园安全。

All the above activities were carried out in an orderly manner under the well-arranged service and management of ASJ., creating a comfortable and pleasant weekend atmosphere: the domitary teachers kept the students' mobile phones, and the students could only use their phones within a specified period of time under the teachers’ supervision; the canteen was open， providing high-quality and delicious meals, while the guards carried out 24-hour continuous patrols to ensure the safety of the campus.

避开舟车劳顿、拥挤人群，学生留在学校与其他同学互相勉励、共同成长，学生的安全得到了最大保障，我校的抗疫工作便有了意义。没有一个春天不会到来，我们期待着疫情过去，同学们恢复往日的生活节奏的那一天。祝福大家身体健康，平安快乐。

The students who stayed at school have already reduced the unnecessary gatherings and avoided going to crowded places. It is certain that their safety was maximum guaranteed and the pandemic prevention work of our school was meaningful. No spring skips its turns, and we look forward to the day when the pandemic is over, and the students return to their normal pace of life. We wish you all good health, peace and happiness.
