郑景亮总校长致开幕词

亲爱的老师，同学们：

大家上午好！

今年是香港回归25周年，我们组织了与拔萃女书院同学的一场演讲友谊赛。

拔萃女书院从成立至今，约一个半世纪的时间里是香港基础教育界，声名最显著的优质学府，是香港人心目中的理想学园。莘莘学子从DGS走向四面八方，她们中不乏名人杰士。刘校长也是我本人非常尊敬的校长，是我的学习对象，在刘校长身上我学习到了很多，我也希望通过本次活动能够加强ASJ 与 DGS 同学之间的友谊。

当下，粤港澳大湾区是“我国开放程度最高、经济活力最强的区域之一”，在大湾区的工作，我认识了一位百岁老人，她曾是暨南大学的老师，也是DGS的毕业生。现在我请大家一起来看一段视频。

感谢这位老师，也愿她身体康健，希望同学们都能一起为香港，为国家做贡献，谢谢大家。

My Dear Teachers and Students,

Good morning!

Welcome to the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. (HKSAR) We have organised a friendly speech competition with the Diocesan Girls' School.

For over a century since its establishment, DGS has been one of the most prestigious and high-quality schools in Hong Kong, and it is a dream school for many Hong Kong students. A lot of DGS graduates have gone on to become famous and distinguished individuals. Ms Lau is also a principal whom I greatly respect and have learnt a lot from her. I hope this activity will strengthen the friendship between ASJ and DGS students.

The Greater Bay Area is “one of the most open and economically vibrant regions in China.” My work in here has allowed me to know a centenarian who was a lecturer at Jinan University and a graduate of DGS. I would now like to invite you to watch a video together.

We wish her good health and happiness. I hope all students will join together to contribute to Hong Kong and our country. Thank you.
