9月8-9日,在新学期开学的第五、第六个上课日,中小学部的家长们走进ASJ,这是新学年开始后,家长与学校老师的首次集体见面。


On September 8th and 9th which was the fifth and the sixth school days of the new semester, ASJ welcomed the parents of the primary and secondary school. They met the teachers for the first time since the school opening.







在现场,交流的气氛十分热烈。家长和学校领导、各任课老师积极沟通,共同探讨教育教学、学生管理、生活起居各个方面的话题。



The meeting enjoyed a warm and lively atmosphere. Parents, school leaders and teachers actively communicated and discussed the contents of education and teaching, student management and daily life.





孩子是否已经适应了新环境

学校的基本教学设施情况如何?

孩子的ECA课程如何设置?

如何使不同背景的学生,顺利衔接IB 的MYP课程HKDSE课程等?

......

Have the children adjusted to the new environment of the school?

Are the teaching facilities of the school working well now?

What is the arrangement of the ECA program?

How to integrate students from different backgrounds into MYP and HKDSE curriculum?







围绕着这些话题,总校长郑景亮先生、教学总监杨丽红女士开诚布公,对未来学校发展的重点进行答疑。而来自中学部副主任金燕燕老师、周晓鹏老师,来自小学部的副主任丁培培老师则针对各学部的教学进行了中学部、小学部课程讲座,详细解读了各课程的特点、教育目标和评估指引。每个孩子都是独一无二的,而在这高质量、多元化的课程引导下,每个孩子的“自我效能感”和“主观能动性”将被激发,并展现“国际情怀”。


Mr. Cheng King Leung, Chief Principal of ASJ, Audrey Yang, Academic Director, illustrated details of school managementand ECA program. while Jason Zhou, Yanyan Jin, deputy director of middle school department, and Lisa Ding, deputy director of Primary department gave presentations to parents on the topics related to the features, expected outcome and assessment of IB and HKDSE programmes. Each student is different, and these well-managed curriculum in high quality could help to inspire ‘self-efficacy’ and ‘agency’, showing ‘international mindset’.






本次家长会还设置了线上直播,线上线下同步进行。通过线上平台,未能到场的家长也能不受空间限制地咨询,互动紧密,两场直播观看人数达300人次。


An online live broadcast was set up for parents who could not attend the meeting. They posted a lot of questions online and the interaction between parents and teachers were great. To sum up, the number of viewers reaches 300 for the two meetings.






通过本场家长会,老师与家长消除了信息不对称的疑虑,对于各自所处的角色有更深入的理解:在孩子成为更好的自己的道路上,家长和学校互为彼此重要的合作伙伴。学校和家长都需担任好教育的神圣职责,为孩子创造良好的校园环境、家庭环境。


Through these two Parent-Teacher meetings, parents and teachers eliminated information asymmetry and had a deeper understanding of their respective roles: parents and school are important partners to make the children become better selves. Both schools and parents should shoulder the sacred responsibility of being great educators and create the harmonious environments for both the campus and the family for the children.






根深路远,这是ASJ的第一年,但我们相信,通过打造更紧密的家校沟通、更优质的信任关系,家校将心连心,形成合力,陪伴孩子全面发展,阳光成长。


This is the first year of ASJ, we believe that by developing tighter home-school relationship, the parents and the school can form a joint force heart to heart to raise the kids in an all-around way for a successful life.
